Back to School and Ups and Downs

Glad to be back to work -- and some days are better than others. The recovery is still moving along. Pretty much come home and rest -- not able to get much done after a full day of teaching making items a bit difficult. Teaching students about software usage for yearbook third trimester so those folks can add to what we have and work on the video.

Still tired and healing and needing to walk along with everything else. Trying to work in at least three days a week then walks on the weekend. Some days more painful and tiring than others.

Walking between Raindrops

I attempt to get out and walk the grounds at least once a day -- been challenging with the weather. Am able to sit up a bit more, but not for very long - max about 30 minutes a stretch. Enough to do some email some work, then go back and take a nap.

Be sure you are working on your projects -- those who were working on cities - they will be restored early next week. You can still get to that account, just use CITY as the username and then the password that I gave you for the password. Make sure it says "this computer" not esusd on the third line.

Should be there for you soon -- sorry about that. My Mom is now taking care of me through at least Sunday - then I will be on my own. Keep up with your online work - see that only a few have been posting and yes, I have been putting in an occasional grade. There is a link to send emails to Mr. C if your parents have any questions, but try and work on asking your own questions about grades directly while I am gone. Good practice for the coming years!

Back to bed.

Ms. Maye Update

Surgery went well on Jan. 16th -- was up in my hospital room by 5:00 pm. The hospital staff were terrific and I was released home to continue my recovery on Jan. 19th after my last lunch in the hospital.

First day home went well and rested. Second day went well - rested a lot. Yesterday I pushed it a little too much (who knew that stairs could be so tiring???) and paid with a bit more pain and immobility.

Doing well - just hard to take it easy. Miss my students and look forward to seeing you all when I am cleared to return.
